Already since the 14th century, the hot springs in the resort town of Karlovy Vary are known. According to a legend, Emperor Charles IV discovered them during a deer hunt. Today there are twelve healing springs in the city area. The strongest of them can be found in the White Colonnades: Here, 72 degrees warm water closes to the surface.
