In Intermittent Fasting, the fasting rhythm is paramount. The fasting phase allows the body to continuously burn fat without constant replenishment. The most popular time window is the 16:8 method, where healthy, sugar-free, protein-rich food with plenty of vegetables and low-sugar fruits can be consumed within 8 hours, followed by a strict 16-hour fast ideally starting at 6 p.m. Adequate sleep is important, as is drinking water and tea. Black coffee without sugar is also recommended for its appetite-suppressing effects. This fasting variant is supported by exercise and physical activity. The methodological difference between "Fasting for the Healthy" and Buchinger therapeutic fasting lies only in the responsibility (self-directed or medically supervised), the objective of the (therapeutic) measure (health promotion or disease treatment), and the duration of the fasting. The Schroth therapy is a natural healing method that strengthens the body's self-healing and defensive capabilities.

Fasting is a key method in longevity medicine!Success is based on the four pillars of diet & nutrition, wraps & detox, drinking and dry days, as well as rest & exercise. The Schroth diet is low-calorie (about 800-850 Kcal), predominantly alkaline and gentle. For Schroth wraps, one is wrapped in moist cold linen sheets, packed with several hot water bottles. This induces a healing fever that flushes out metabolic residues. The body's own defenses are enhanced, and the skin is trained for detoxification.
