On the eastern edge of the Black Forest stretches the enchanting Waldachtal, a spa town comprising several villages with an idyllic landscape that invites relaxation. Waldachtal is crisscrossed by a network of hiking trails that lead through dense forests, along clear streams, and to charming viewpoints.
In the Schwarzwaldstube, Ahnenstube, and the charming main restaurant "Dorfplatz" (open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.), you will find a cuisine that reflects the natural flavours and tastes of the region. Guests can start their day with a rich breakfast buffet and in the evening, choose between a 5-course menu or a diverse open buffet. For those on full board, an additional nutrient-rich lunch snack buffet is available, as well as coffee and cake daily from 3 to 4 p.m. Embark on a culinary journey! Special dietary needs such as lactose-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, and dietary dishes are happily accommodated upon request. The Schwarzwald and Ahnenstube also feature a bar, offering guests the chance to unwind in a relaxed atmosphere in the evening.
The Vital & Wellnesshotel Albblick offers its guests daily access to a wellness area of approximately 2,000 square metres from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Facilities include an indoor pool (approx. 13 x 7 m), an outdoor pool (approx. 12 x 5 m, open in summer), and a whirlpool.
Furthermore, the hotel boasts a newly designed modern sauna area (open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.) - a top-class retreat equipped with all the refinements! Look forward to a bio-sauna made of Swiss pine, a Finnish sauna, a brine inhalation cabin, a steam bath, an ice fountain, a Kneipp facility, as well as a meditation and relaxation room. Guests can also enjoy the terrace with a large conservatory and the panoramic sunbathing lawn. A solarium is available for a fee.
In the beauty area of the Vital Centre on approximately 600 square metres (open Monday to Saturday from 9-12 a.m. and 1-5 p.m.), individual holistic care treatments are offered, including products from Dr. Eckstein and Artdeco. There are 32 treatment rooms available, where various treatments such as massages, mud therapy, physiotherapy, connective tissue massages, reflexology, movement therapy, magnetic field therapy, and wraps are performed. A metabolic metabolism programme is also offered.

The fitness studio spans approximately 150 square metres and is equipped with state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment, specifically designed for back training. Additionally, a barefoot path is available. This path serves not only as back and spinal training but also offers an effective foot reflexology massage. Afterwards, guests have the opportunity to refresh themselves in the Kneipp wading pool in the garden.
The Albblick Active Club, open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is based on the latest scientific findings to promote health, youthfulness, fitness, and well-being. Goals include increasing cardiac efficiency and stress tolerance, lowering blood pressure, improving circulation and fat burning, strengthening the immune system, higher calorie consumption, reducing body fat percentage, strengthening muscles, and enhancing joint elasticity.
The movement and relaxation programme includes various activities such as spinal gymnastics, pelvic floor gymnastics, progressive muscle relaxation, Nordic walking, aqua movement therapy, active awakening, stretching, and deep relaxation.
The qualified team consists of state-certified sports instructors, DTB-B trainers, IHK wellness consultants, Nordic walking trainers, and graduate sports instructors.
Tennis: The indoor tennis court is equipped with a velour sport floor and requires the wearing of special indoor shoes. We offer tennis courses recognised by the DTB (German Tennis Association) and the VDT (Association of German Tennis Instructors). The costs are approximately €20 per hour for court use and €35-40 per hour for coaching sessions (£17/approx. UK £15 / USD $19 and £31-35/approx. UK £27-31 / USD $33-38 respectively).
Hiking and mountain biking: The region is a true paradise for hikers and mountain bikers. With a network of about 90 km, numerous opportunities for active exploration are offered. Additionally, tennis and bicycle equipment as well as e-bikes are available for rent. Within a radius of 20-50 km, there are also 4 golf courses inviting you to play.
The hotel offers a total of 57 spacious and cosy rooms in a rural style, all equipped with a balcony featuring a table and two loungers. Each room includes a shower/WC, a hairdryer, a safe, satellite TV, telephone, and minibar.
There are Waldachtal rooms (approx. 20 sqm) and Black Forest rooms (approx. 26 sqm) with a seating area and a desk. Additionally, there are Wellness Residence rooms (approx. 45 sqm) on the south side with panoramic views of the Swabian Alb. These rooms are located in an annex connected by a corridor and feature a walk-in shower, a separate WC and bidet, a seating area, and a desk. Special allergy-friendly rooms are also available. Single rooms are double rooms for single use. Lifts are available.

The wellness treatments were great. The hotel room was very spartan, but clean. The food was good, but I was seated in a part without daylight, which was really not nice. All in all, I didn't have the feeling that anyone cared whether I felt comfortable. They didn't ask when I checked out either.
