Located on the south coast of Sri Lanka, in Dickwella near Matara, the privately managed beach resort UTMT - Underneath The Mango Tree spans approximately 20,000 sqm. Perched on a small hill, it offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. Spread out like a small village, 9 building complexes showcase Sinhalese architecture blended with Viennese charm, thanks to the Austrian owners. Built sustainably and in local style but to European standards, the hotel boasts a private beach (about a 5-minute walk away), inviting guests to swim and bodyboard.

Ayurveda Spa (approx. 420 sqm) with sea view and several treatment rooms for traditional Ayurveda or luxurious beauty and wellness treatments. The team, consisting of 2 Ayurveda doctors and experienced therapists, professionally conducts the Ayurveda therapies with a focus on intensive initial consultation. Yoga and meditation take place either in one of the yoga pavilions, on the spa roof with sea view, or in the UTMT Yoga Shala, one of the largest Yoga Shalas in Sri Lanka. Surrounding the Ayurveda Spa is the herb garden, where ingredients for meals, oils, and medicines thrive, along with an Ayurveda pharmacy.
Activity programme: Yoga, workouts, jogging, beach volleyball. Billiards, sports equipment rental. Diving, surfing, and sailing.
Outdoor pool (approx. 25 m) and hammocks in the garden. Relax on the beach with sun loungers, towels, and first-class service. The clubhouse features a library and a small cinema. You can participate in cooking classes. The hotel boasts an English phone booth for calls to Europe and a mailbox for holiday mail. Barber service. There are many different excursions, for example, to traditional markets, temples, tea plantation tours, Udawalawa National Park, or to Cinnamon Island.

Suite with 2 bedrooms (for 2 or 4 people) with sea view. 1 Grand Villa (approx. 200 sqm, up to 6 people) with an additional bedroom, bathroom, dressing room, and private pool.
