The Ensana Thermal Aqua Health Spa Hotel (renovated in 2025) is a popular spa hotel in a scenic, slightly elevated panoramic location, just a few steps from the spa park and only about 500 metres from the thermal lake. The thermal water contains dissolved and gaseous sulphur as well as mildly radioactive radon.
Location & Surroundings
Bad Hévíz - the spa town with the longest tradition of treatments in Hungary - is located on the West Hungarian spa route, close to Lake Balaton.

Wellness & Spa
The experience pool, partially covered and open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., spans approximately 200 sqm of water area at a pleasant temperature of about 29°C. It features a Jacuzzi, geyser, waterfall, and underwater massage benches. Two new indoor thermal pools with temperatures of about 33 and 37°C are also available. Outdoors, there is another pool (approx. 12 x 8 m) and a Kneipp walking pool (open from May to September). Newly equipped with modern equipment, the panoramic fitness room offers breathtaking views. The also modernized sauna area, spanning about 220 sqm, includes a Finnish sauna with professional infusions, a bio-sauna, an infrared sauna, a textile sauna, a steam bath, cooling pools, and bucket showers. For families, there are two covered children's pools. Additionally, there is a sun terrace, a games room and playground, and entertainment (in the summer). In the beauty area, we use hotel-owned products and offer newly developed beauty treatments.
Health & Treatments
The modern Therapy Center offers high-quality treatments from Monday to Saturday (except on Hungarian public holidays), supervised by specialist doctors. A variety of treatments are available, including the innovative "Subaquatic Traction" (weight bath). Since 2024, Carboxytherapy has also been available, also known as CO2 gas insufflation for pain relief, improved circulation, and muscle relaxation. Additionally, group sports programs are offered. The hotel has been recognized as a state-certified Spa Hotel.
Hévíz Thermal Lake & Peat Mud
Experience healing baths and relaxation in any season (25-35°C)! Thanks to its volcanic origin, the lake water contains various dissolved minerals. Their combination with mildly radioactive radiation and bioactive healing mud provides significant relief for chronic pain. The mineral-rich mud (radium salts, reduced sulphur compounds, chloride, iodide, calcium, sodium, magnesium, and iron) forms at the bottom of the thermal lake. Its warmth soothes the body, and the thermal water opens the skin's pores for the absorption of active substances, which activate cell regeneration, promote enzyme activities, inhibit inflammation, calm nerve pathways, and simultaneously nourish cartilage and connective tissue.
