The Monarch Hotel combines stylish elegance with a cosy Bavarian ambiance. The Limes Therapy Center and the hotel are connected by a covered bridge.
Location & Surroundings
Nestled in the heart of Hallertau in Lower Bavaria, Bad Gögging is the only spa town in Bavaria boasting sulphur and mineral thermal springs as well as natural peat from local sources.
Dining & Leisure
Maria Theresia and Empress Elisabeth with a rich breakfast buffet and daily changing buffets in the evening (6:00-8:30 p.m.). Vegetarian, lactose-free, and gluten-free meals available on request. The Monarch Coffee Shop, cakes from the hotel's own patisserie. Beer garden, hotel bar with dancing.
Wellness & Spa
Flooded with light, our spa and wellness area features a spacious indoor pool (approx. 31°C), an outdoor pool (heatable), and a large sunbathing lawn with loungers and beach chairs. Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, and fitness room. The Monarch SPA, connected to Cosmeticum, offers pampering treatments from head to toe such as natural peat packs, massages (aroma, reflexology, hot stone), facial treatments, pine or hop oil baths, and more, featuring products from our own brand, The Monarch Beauty Lines.
Hotel guests can access the nearby LimesTherme via a covered bridge. Approximately 1,300 sqm of water area with 15 indoor and outdoor pools with variably tempered mineral thermal water, Roman sauna in the faithfully reconstructed Limes Tower, beauty oasis, salt grotto, and more.

The unique cultural landscape of the Altmühl and Danube valleys, with hop gardens and asparagus fields, is considered an ideal retreat with numerous leisure activities. Enjoy hiking, Nordic walking, and local bicycle and e-bike rentals. Explore attractions in the Altmühltal, the Bird Park in Abensberg, Prunn Castle, the Liberation Hall near Kelheim, the Crystal Museum, the Roman fort at Eining, Weltenburg Abbey with the Danube Gorge, boat tours, and Rosenburg Castle (falconry).
