Nestled in the heart of Hallertau in Lower Bavaria, Bad Gögging is the only spa town in Bavaria boasting sulphur and mineral thermal springs as well as natural peat from local sources.

Dining & Leisure

Maria Theresia and Empress Elisabeth offer a lavish breakfast buffet and daily changing evening buffets (6-8 p.m.). Vegetarian, lactose-free, and gluten-free options available upon request. The Monarch Coffee Shop features cakes from the hotel's own patisserie. Beer garden and hotel bar with dancing.

Wellness & Spa

Flooded with light, the bathing and wellness area features a spacious indoor pool (approx. 31°C), an outdoor pool (heatable), and a large sunbathing lawn with loungers and beach chairs. Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, and fitness room. The Monarch SPA, connected to the Cosmeticum, offers pampering treatments from head to toe such as natural moorland packs, massages (aroma, reflexology, hot stone), facial treatments, pine or hop oil baths and much more, featuring products from The Monarch Beauty Lines.

Hotel guests can access the adjacent LimesTherme via a covered bridge. Approximately 1,300 sqm of water area with 15 indoor and outdoor pools with variously tempered mineral thermal water, Roman sauna in an authentically reconstructed Limes tower, beauty oasis, salt grotto and much more.

Hotel a bit outdated but clean and nice rooms. Small indoor pool with always too few loungers. Breakfast and evening buffet ok. Have stayed at this hotel several times and "things are changing": service very good, toaster at the breakfast buffet, new shower heads etc.. Drinks prices a bit overpriced, underground parking garage 11,--/day fair price.
