Bad Pyrmont excels with consolidated health expertise across various medical fields, leveraging its valuable natural remedies.
The Healthy Seven The springs emerge in the Valley of Springs and are administered directly at the source, in the spa treatment houses, and in the promenade hall. In Bad Pyrmont, there is the rarity of two different types of healing water: the brine-containing sodium chloride mineral springs and the calcium- and magnesium-rich hydrocarbonate mineral springs. Indications for the drinking therapy depending on the source: Digestive organ diseases, urological diseases, deficiencies of iron and calcium.
Brine Brine baths have a calming effect on the autonomic nervous system. Brine movement baths allow for intensive muscle and cardiovascular training due to the increased buoyancy. Movements in brine water specifically relieve joints and the back.
Mud The therapeutic mud allows for very high application temperatures over an extended period while being well tolerated. At 41 to 46 °C, an optimal therapeutic effect is achieved. A therapy with natural mud results in improved joint mobility, muscle relaxation, and enhanced blood circulation throughout the body.
CO2 Spring Gas and the Mist Cave The Mist Cave is a unique natural phenomenon. CO2 spring gas invisibly flows from a rock fissure at the surface of the Helvetius Hill. The carbon dioxide degasses from a magma chamber 4,000 m deep and is the driving force for all of Bad Pyrmont's healing springs. CO2 brings these healing waters to daylight. Central and peripheral vessels are better blood-supplied, and the cardiovascular system is relieved.
