Karlovy Vary, nestled picturesquely in a valley at the confluence of the Tepla and Ohre rivers, is especially famous for its drinking therapy using mineral springs with temperatures between 30 and 72°C. These are used for drinking therapies, baths, and irrigation. The Spa Hotel Thermal is located in the centre, close to the colonnades.

Dining & Leisure

National and international cuisine. Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner buffet. Diet, slimming and vegetarian options available. Film Café à la carte with homemade desserts.

Wellness & Spa

Modern Wellness Centre (2,500 sqm) featuring an indoor pool (approx. 15 x 5 m, approx. 28°C), whirlpool, Kneipp path, Finnish sauna, infrared cabin, steam bath, and cardio zone.

Saunia Thermal Resort (entry for hotel guests is included for 2 hours daily. Day passes available for approx. CZK 200 (£7 / $9) on site) directly accessible from the hotel - Thermal outdoor pool (40 m open year-round) with swimming lanes (25) and a separate spring water pool with thermal water. Sauna area - 8 saunas with rituals: Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, steam bath, steam blast sauna, salt sauna, tropical sauna. Ice fountain, cooling pools and buckets, showers with mist spray.

Health & Treatments

Modern therapy department (Mon.-Sat. 7 a.m.-7 p.m.). Doctor (Mon.-Fri.) and a team of therapists. For treatments, hot spring water is used. Mud, paraffin wrap, salt cave (at a charge), underwater or hot stone massages, whirlpool, bubble or pearl bath. Laser, scanner, magnetotherapy, biolamp, solux, quartz lamp, electrotherapy (myostimulator, Endo-Vaco, BTL-06, Phyaction), ultrasound, lymphatic drainage, dry CO2 bath, oxygen therapy, pneumopuncture.

Free Time

Experience Karlovy Vary

Annually in June, enjoy the Music Summer featuring Mozart and Karlovy Vary, the International Film Festival, Beethoven Days in August, Dvorak's Karlovy Vary Autumn and International Folklore Festival in September, and the International Jazz Festival in October. Explore the city, enjoy colonnade and church concerts. Excursions include Loket Castle, and museums dedicated to porcelain, glass, or Becherovka (a local liqueur). Tennis courts, horse riding, cycling, and hiking trails are available.

In winter, ski or hike on Keilberg (Klinovec at 1,244m), about a 20-minute drive towards Joachimsthal (free parking, ski school, and ski rentals available). At the summit of Keilberg, enjoy a comfortable ride on the 3 km long cable car. Cyclists can look forward to well-maintained bike paths, and for the more adventurous, there is a downhill track for mountain biking.

We were in Karlovy Vary for 2 nights with friends. A super weekend. The internal atmosphere was great (the hotel can't help that :-) ) but the "hardware" as well as the staff and the food (we booked half board) were excellent. We will be "repeat offenders".
