The Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort has been welcoming Ayurveda guests from around the world for over 25 years. Situated directly on the sandy beach of Wadduwa and nestled within a lush tropical garden, the resort seamlessly blends the ancient healing art of Ayurveda with a relaxed, authentic atmosphere. A small shop offering in-house Ayurveda products and a currency exchange service complete the amenities.

The resort is part of the renowned Siddhalepa Group, a family-run company that has preserved and passed down Ayurveda knowledge for over 200 years. In addition to Ayurveda centres in Germany, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, the group operates an Ayurveda hospital and an Ayurveda university in Sri Lanka. This ISO-certified company is also well known in Germany for its premium Ayurveda products.

The Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort is located on the west coast of Sri Lanka, about an hour's drive from Colombo, directly on the endless sandy beach of Wadduwa. The expansive beach invites you to take long, leisurely walks and offers authentic glimpses into the coastal life of Sri Lanka. The resort's lush, tropical gardens provide a tranquil retreat, creating the perfect setting for relaxation and holistic rejuvenation. The nearby railway line is part of local life and can occasionally be heard. In the surrounding area, charming fishing villages, Buddhist temples, and vibrant markets invite you to explore, offering fascinating insights into the island's culture and way of life.

The resort delights its guests with a diverse culinary offering across two restaurants, seamlessly blending Ayurvedic and international cuisines. At the open beach restaurant, enjoy fresh dishes with a sea view, while the air-conditioned restaurant near the lobby serves authentic Ayurvedic meals. Following the initial medical consultation, Ayurveda guests receive a personalised dietary plan, which is communicated directly to the hotel kitchen, ensuring meals are tailored to individual doshas. During meals, Ayurveda doctors are available to answer dietary questions. Depending on occupancy, meals are served either buffet-style or à la carte, featuring a wide selection of predominantly vegetarian dishes, complemented by white fish. Individual dietary preferences are always accommodated; international dishes or private in-room dining are available upon request.

Elixir Bar

A particular highlight is the Elixir Bar, offering Ayurvedic herbal elixirs that specifically support both body and mind. During a guided tasting, guests gain fascinating insights into the effects, ingredients, and principles of Ayurveda - both enjoyable and informative.

At the Ayurveda Center of the resort, an experienced team of five Ayurveda doctors and numerous professionally trained therapists awaits you, all educated at the renowned Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital. In 22 harmoniously designed treatment rooms, equipped with a modern Bluetooth sound system, enjoy authentic Ayurveda treatments in a soothing atmosphere. This ancient healing art promotes inner balance, strengthens self-healing powers, and supports body and mind on the path to sustainable well-being. Yoga and meditation in the new yoga pavilion or by the pool complete the therapy holistically. New to the program are individually bookable lessons in yoga, meditation, Ayurvedic cooking, and massage techniques - a valuable addition for those who wish to delve deeper into the world of Ayurveda.

About 200 years ago, the Hettigoda family began producing and distributing Ayurvedic products under the brand name Siddhalepa. In their factory in Sri Lanka, they skilfully combine traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with the latest technology and continuous research and improvement of their formulas. The products are regularly inspected by the government, certified with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and are now available worldwide, including in Germany.

The Siddhalepa brand's range includes essential balms and oils, Ayurvedic cosmetics and skincare products, toothpaste, as well as Ayurvedic herbal medicine, dietary supplements, elixirs, and tea. Guests of Siddhalepa hotels are invited to visit the factory and learn more about the group.

The resort features a spacious freshwater pool, seamlessly integrated into the surrounding green parkland, offering perfect conditions for restful hours. Adjacent to the pool is a small gym, providing opportunities for active relaxation. A stroll through the fragrant garden, planted with medicinal herbs, leads guests directly to the tranquil mangrove grove on the beach. This location is ideal for relaxed seaside walks.
