"Our diet should consist of 80% alkaline and 20% acidic foods, yet what we consume is often the exact opposite. Everyone knows we should eat plant-based, but we don't. Even when we do eat plant-based, the food becomes acidic through reheating and overheating. Thus, even good vegetarian food becomes negative when heated beyond a certain point. This means we need to redefine and revise the way we prepare food."
Mindful eating is a key component of a naturopathic lifestyle. The fire-free kitchen at Prakriti Shakti combines fresh, organic local ingredients with the aesthetics of haute cuisine. The restaurant, featuring both indoor and outdoor seating, offers views of the pool and mountains, and you can watch the food being prepared through a kitchen window. The vegan, raw food dishes are tailored to individual treatment plans and follow the phases of detox, rebuilding, and calming. Simple and natural, the dishes aim to entice with their colours, aroma, and flavour. From traditional Kerala Sadya to delicious brownies – expect a variety of uncooked and unprocessed dishes."
The infinity pool at the hotel offers a sweeping panoramic view over the surrounding hills.
The generously equipped treatment area features 13 treatment rooms, managed by 5 doctors and several therapists, including one doctor available 24/7. Natural elements are the remedies in naturopathy, and treatments such as mud, hydrotherapy, heliotherapy, energy medicine, massages, physiotherapy, reflexology, acupuncture, and acupressure allow these elements to interact with the body, facilitating regeneration. As a medical system that operates on the body's energy level, energy medicine is incorporated into the treatment programmes to support the self-healing process. Various massages are also integrated to relax the muscles and improve blood circulation.
All programme focuses are also suitable for prevention.
The various meditative practices of yoga promote inner health and harmony and are invaluable steps towards good health. Based on therapeutic approaches of yoga, doctors have developed treatment methods for various conditions. In the hotel's yoga hall or on the yoga deck, five different types of yoga are combined: Soukya Yoga (daily focus on a specific system in the body), Samana Yoga (personalised sessions), Dharana Yoga (guided relaxation techniques), Dhyana Yoga (breathing exercises and meditation), and Shudhi Kriyas (natural cleansing procedures according to individual needs).
