Your Ayurveda Resort

The family-friendly Oasis Aramaya Ayurveda Beach Resort is situated directly on a long sandy beach, just a stone's throw from the vibrant village life of Ambalangoda. The pool, garden, and beach palms are a balm for the soul, and the warm climate is ideal for an Ayurveda therapy.

Location & Surroundings

Sri Lanka, the tropical island nation off the coast of India, entices with its rich cultural heritage and stunning vegetation, as well as the traditional healing art of Ayurveda. Ambalangoda is a vibrant coastal town in the southwest of the island, known for its traditional Sinhalese mask carving and the associated museum. Another unique feature of the town is the naturally formed rock pool on the coast.

Dining & Leisure

For Ayurveda guests, a rich Ayurvedic diet with Ayurvedic teas and juices is served. The diet is adjusted by the chefs in consultation with the treating Ayurveda doctor to the doshas, to achieve optimal therapy results.

Ayurveda Center

In the spacious Ayurveda Center with 2 Ayurveda doctors and several therapists, classic Ayurveda regeneration and Panchakarma detox treatments are conducted. The center is located next to the lobby and the pool and features 9 treatment cabins, 3 Ayurvedic steam baths, 4 herbal baths, and 2 acupuncture rooms. On request, Ayurveda cooking classes are also offered.

Free Time

As the resort is located directly by the sea, you can enjoy your free time close to the water, for example, on long beach walks. After consulting with the doctor, half-day excursions can be undertaken during the therapy, for example, to Ambalangoda, Hikkaduwa (about 15 km) or Galle (about 35 km). Excursions by taxi or tuk-tuk can be arranged by the hotel for a fee.

The boutique Ayurveda resort has been given a unique charm through the individual design of each room. Each of the 13 cosy rooms, including 4 with frontal and 2 with side sea views on the first floor and 7 standard rooms on the ground floor, some with light shafts to the corridor and/or open bathrooms. All rooms are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe, safe, and mosquito net. Wi-Fi in the lobby. Spacious lounge.

I was in Sri Lanka for the first time with my partner. The reason for our trip was to experience a Pancha Karma healing therapy there. Until then, I had only experienced Ayurveda in India and Austria. Looking back, I can say with great pleasure that Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with very loving people and a flora and fauna to be proud of - simply uniquely beautiful! On the one hand, there are the great people who run and support our healing therapy at Oasis Aramaya with a lot of love and effort. We felt that we were in very good hands and the very special place, right on the most beautiful beach in Sri Lanka, is also something to be proud of - simply paradisiacal! I wouldn't do the healing therapy itself a second time. I have had other experiences and I think there is still room for improvement. What we experienced can be described as wellness and relaxation, but is a far cry from a classic Pancha Karma healing therapy, which was a bit of a shame! Nevertheless, we really enjoyed it, simply because of the unique location of this hotel. Absolutely recommendable! And the local people touched our hearts - thank you very much for these wonderful impressions and insights into the country and culture! 1-9.1.24 Oasis Aramaya Relaxing with very nice people in a simple, somewhat run-down hotel. Direct access to a not very clean beach.
