The holiday was very restful and the spa treatments were wonderful. Apparently only a few British know about this hotel so speaking a little French was useful but staff did help in English when they could. The hotel was clean with lovely well tended garden and very pretty large swimming pool with views to the Atlas Mountains. The venue is quite remote but a taxi to Beni Mellal takes around 20 mins where there is a souk which caters for locals but is not for tourist souvenirs but has clothing and nuts generally providing a real insight into Moroccan life

The value for money here is great This was my second time at Tazarkount, and probably not my last. Okay, the place might not deserve a European 4-star rating, but it more than makes up for it with its warmth and charm. If you're expecting a luxury holiday, you should spend more somewhere else. There are frequent power outages here; the shower often can't quite decide whether to give a lot or a little water, hot or cold; and as for TV channels… well, who needs a TV here anyway? The plaster is crumbling in many places… BUT I love the homey atmosphere, the wonderful garden, and the little spa. It wasn't overcrowded during my stay, and I can just relax here like crazy. I love it here and will definitely be back. As for people who nitpick over every little detail and always find something to complain about-I'd rather do without them these days; maybe they should be willing to spend a little more money.
