Your Ayurveda Hotel

Located directly on the beach of Beruwela, opposite the peninsula of the Bentota River with its extensive sandy shores, the Lanka Princess Ayurveda Hotel offers rejuvenating Ayurveda treatments and high-level comfort and service. The U-shaped building opens towards the sea and encloses a tropical garden with ornamental ponds and fountains. This adults-only hotel is managed by both German and Sri Lankan teams. In 2022, the marble floors in the restaurants and the marble washbasins in the Comfort category rooms were renovated. Additionally, the terracotta floor tiles in the entrance area, lobby, restaurant terraces, and pool deck were treated and refurbished.

Location & Surroundings

Beruwala, located on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, captivates with its palm-fringed beaches, gentle lagoons, and vibrant atmosphere. The long sandy beach is perfect for strolls and relaxing hours by the sea, while the nearby Bentota River with its mangrove forests and boat trips offers enchanting experiences. Cultural highlights include the Kande Vihara Temple with its impressive Buddha statue and the historic mosque of Beruwala, one of the oldest in the country. The lively fish markets and traditional craft workshops provide fascinating insights into local life. Whether it's nature, culture, or relaxation, Beruwala uniquely combines all these elements.

Dining & Leisure

Surrounding the Lobby Bar, Restaurant Batahira (air-conditioned) and Ayurveda Restaurant, both with terraces. All inclusive: Buffets featuring international, regional, and Ayurvedic dishes, marked for Ayurveda guests according to the doshas, with a choice of 3-4 menus per week in the evening at Batahira. Non-alcoholic and refreshment drinks, coffee, tea, fresh fruit and vegetable juices included. Afternoon cakes and sandwiches. Pool bar, Ayurveda tea station.

Ayurveda Center

In the Ayurveda Center, a qualified team of 2 Ayurveda doctors and over 30 therapists are dedicated to "pampering you healthy." Friendly treatment rooms for massages, inhalations, baths, acupuncture, and consultations, Ayurveda pharmacy, herbal kitchen. Individual treatments available, some only after medical consultation. Beauty studio with Western and Ayurvedic cosmetics. Morning Tai Chi on the beach, meditation and yoga sessions multiple times daily (private sessions for a fee). Twice weekly meditation on the nearby temple island (small fee for the boat trip).

Free Time

Outdoor pool with loungers and sun protection in the well-maintained garden. Fitness room, water aerobics, bocce, darts, sea swimming, beach walks, jogging, and walking. Library, boutique, jeweller, DVD rental, board games. Cooking demonstrations, fruit/vegetable carving. Subtle evening entertainment with music, Ayurveda lectures.

104 rooms and 6 suites are spread across 4 floors and are easily accessible by lift. All rooms feature a balcony with sea view, overlooking the pool and garden, and are naturally ventilated through insect-protected doors and windows. Mosquito nets and a choice of pillows are available upon request. The suites additionally offer a spacious living area. Comfort and Comfort PLUS rooms are also available with connecting doors. SGL are DB for single use.

We had a wonderful time at the Lanka Princess Hotel as part of our intensive Panchakarma healing therapy. All the staff at the hotel made sure that we wanted for nothing. We were met with warmth and friendliness everywhere we went. We have rarely experienced such a service-oriented stay! We are grateful that we were able to experience this great break and would love to come back.
