Your Hotel

Your spa hotel is located in the midst of an extensive nature reserve on the outskirts of Strunjan. Spa Hotel Svoboda**** is fully air-conditioned from about June to September, depending on the weather.

Location & Surroundings

The climatic spa town of Strunjan is nestled in a protected bay, surrounded by vineyards and Mediterranean plants. The salt pans on the beach are the foundation for Strunjan's healing factors. Here, the mother liquor as well as marine and salt pan mud are harvested.

Dining & Leisure

Buffet, half board as lunch or dinner by pre-registration. Diet meals (on medical prescription) as part of the full board. Vegetarian options, Montignac diet, fish menus (for a fee). Café.

Wellness & Spa

Vitarium Spa & Thalasso Center (daily) offers beauty treatments, massages, wraps, seawater baths, and special treatments such as saline massage, mud wrap, and salt scrub. Seawater indoor pool (approx. 32°C). Whirlpools, small seawater outdoor pool (26-28°C, approx. April-October), fitness and gymnastics room. For a fee: sauna area (supplement from approx. €20/day (approx. UK £17 / USD $21)) with 5 saunas.

Hotel's own therapy department (Mon.-Sat.). Physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, respiratory therapy, kinesiotherapy, electrotherapy. Underwater and classic massages, saline peloid mud packs from purified and pre-warmed sea mud, inhalations. Modern diagnostic center.

The Thalasso Center Strunjan offers a spa hotel with rehabilitation facilities, a nice indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a garden, good parking, a well-kept beach and very good excursion possibilities on foot or by public buses to Piran, Portoroz, Izola or Koper. Pool area and hotel are in a good to very good condition, the garden area with mini golf course is a bit old, the villas are simple and functional, for the summer months but perfectly fine. The area outside of the holiday period apparently predominantly visited by domestic Spa- and Reha guests; This considerably raises the age cut. At the holiday season, families with children join. The service staff speaks German; The service (front desk, restaurant, cleaning) there was nothing to complain about. The food is variet and excellent; Within a week there was no single repetition at the buffet in regards to the main dishes. We have here in June / early July 2017 splendidly recovered, also because of the pleasant climate (still not too hot) and the green environment with a lagoon and salt saline. The price level in Slovenia is significantly lower than elsewhere ... an Aperol Spritz is about 3,00 Euros to get, even at the beach we have never paid more than 4,50 Euros. Those who come by car should definitely visit the Lipizzaner stud and also visit the world's most worthy caves in Postoijna.
