The Spa Hotel Imperial, one of the most beautiful, luxurious spa hotels in the area, is located in the heart of the spa park, near the Glauber drinking hall.

Franzensbad, renowned for its 22 mineral springs and Franzensbad moor, invites you to relax and stroll through its historic monuments and spa park. Enjoy the ambiance on a walk through the expansive parks of this Czech town! Let your gaze wander over the ancient trees, the springs, and the music pavilion! The history of healing treatments in Franzensbad dates back to the 18th century. It was Emperor Franz II who designated the place as a spa in 1793. At that time, the first healing spring was discovered, which has since had a therapeutic effect on spa guests. Even Johann Wolfgang Goethe was a frequent visitor. Today, Franzensbad is known for 24 healing springs - all of which are alkaline Glauber's salt springs, among the saltiest in the world.

Dining & Leisure

In the stylish restaurant with a conservatory, guests relish Bohemian and international cuisine. Breakfast is served buffet-style (hot beverages are served), while lunch and dinner offer a choice of three courses and a salad buffet. The unique atmosphere is enhanced several times a week by piano accompaniment or harmonious harp sounds. Once a week, guests can look forward to themed evenings such as cocktail parties, showcasing creations from Bohemian and international cuisine. For guests with specific dietary needs, the hotel offers consultations with a dietary therapist. Diabetic, slimming, separation, and vegetarian diets are also available.

The enchanting spa town atmosphere is best enjoyed in the publicly accessible hotel café with a bar. During the summer months, guests love to linger on the terrace overlooking the hotel garden and the spa park. The lobby bar and café are perfect spots for relaxing with a cup of exquisite coffee and pastries.

A small library and an internet corner complete the hotel's offerings.

Health & Treatments

Embrace the authentic healing treatments of Franzensbad, continuing a tradition over 200 years old. Here, only local Franzensbad natural remedies of the highest quality are used. The therapy department (Mon.-Fri. 7 a.m.-3 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m.-12 p.m.) is led by a doctor and trained medical staff. Treatments include massages, medicinal gas injections, mud and paraffin wraps, inhalations, electrotherapy, oxygen and magnetic field therapy, lymphatic drainage, group physical therapy in the rehabilitation pool, and whirlpool baths. The renowned mud bath is offered at the Kaiserbad.

Free Time

AQUAFORUM Water World (approx. 300 m) - a world of water and well-being (open daily 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.). 3 indoor and 3 outdoor pools with water attractions, whirlpools, saunas, water grotto and slide, snack bar, restaurant, aqua shop. Cycling, hiking, , city museum, Brömse Gallery, concerts, theatre, cultural events. Excursions to the spa towns of Mariánské Lázně and Karlovy Vary. 18-hole golf course in Hazlov approx. 5 km away, 14 more golf courses in the region. Golf school, green fee discount on request.
