A modern spa hotel, located at the edge of the forest, featuring a motion pool and sauna. All balneological treatments available on-site. Certified by EuropeSpa med and a member of Quality in Health Prevention e.V.
Modern with a magnificent view of the Erzgebirge panorama, located on a slope at the forest edge (about 300 m from Agricola).
The hotel is situated on a slope above the Jáchymov valley and has been a prominent landmark of the valley since 1975. It has become a popular and sought-after destination for many visitors due to its spaciousness, airiness, and unique views of the surrounding Ore Mountains.
The healing successes of the spa are based on the noble gas radon. Thanks to the high radon content (at the sources 10.5 kBq/l), the effects of a 3-week therapy are gently equivalent to those of radon mine therapies.
St. Joachimsthal is located on the southern slope of the Ore Mountains, close to the German border. The healing successes of the spa are based on the noble gas radon. In the 16th century, Joachimsthal was one of the most important cities in Europe due to its minting rights. The city's history is closely linked to the mining of silver, tin, and uranium. The last active mine in Joachimsthal, called Svornost, supplies the treatment areas with radon water.
The historic city centre of Joachimsthal is a protected zone with houses in the style of Renaissance-Gothic.
In the tranquil spa district in the lower part of the city, you will find not only spa hotels, restaurants, and the Aquazentrum Agircola with a mine sauna, but also a picturesque spa park with a music pavilion, a children's playground, and a small lake. The spa district is surrounded by a forest park with many hiking trails.
2 restaurants, Bellevue and Bohemia, offering national and international cuisine. Meals served buffet style, with options for diet, vegetarian, lactose-free, and gluten-free cuisine. Dance café with regular cultural events, and a lounge for domino and bridge games.
Every guest can also use the hotel's swimming pool with whirlpool and Kneipp path (in the afternoon, subject to availability). Cosmetics, manicure, and pedicure services are available. In the summer, guests have access to a large sun terrace with loungers.
Motion pool (approx. 30°C), whirlpool, Kneipp barefoot path, sauna (for a fee). Balneotherapy facilities with a wide range of healing and wellness treatments. Curietherapy (treatments at Astoria), utilises the benefits of radiation therapy with radium in microdoses (since 1910) and is only applied in Joachimsthal. Further wellness facilities and the Aqua Centre only 250 m in the Therapy Centre Agricola. Indications: musculoskeletal disorders (ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatism), peripheral nervous system disorders, metabolism, activation of self-healing powers in early-stage Parkinson's and Multiple Sclerosis. Please bring any existing medical reports with you.
Aqua & Wellness Centre Agricola (open daily 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.): indoor pool, children's pool, whirlpools, Kneipp path, salt grotto, solarium, and fitness. New Sauna World - Stollensauna Agricola: Finnish and bio sauna, infrared sauna, steam bath, ice pool, relaxation room with water and tea, herb garden, rooftop terrace with barefoot path. Entry Pool + sauna use approx. €8 (60'), approx. €9 (90') approx. €11 (120'), discounts available for spa guests and seniors. Café.
The Ore Mountains are a paradise for hiking, cycling, and skiing. Thematic trails such as the Radon Theme Trail, the Hell of Joachimsthal, Gottesgaber Peat Moor Theme Trail, and more. Excursions: Loket Castle, Porcelain and Glass Museum in Karlovy Vary. Oberwiesenthal in the Ore Mountains just 12 km away. 18-hole golf club Karlovy Vary and Golf Club Cihelny (about 6 km), Golf Club Marianske Lazne (about 40 km).
A visit to the "underground treasures" of the region is worthwhile and can be perfectly combined with sporting activities and wellness.
Ore Mountains on the UNESCO list: The Ore Mountain Mining Region (Krušnohoří) is the first Czech cross-border collection of monuments, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List on 6 July 2019.

It was our first wellness trip. Everything was well organized, no time pressure and the staff were nice and friendly. As a tip, it would be nice to have small water dispensers in the treatment areas so that you can have a drink after the treatment, otherwise there are plenty of drinks at the vending machines. But that would be a small service for the spa guests. We will be going again next year.
