The neoclassical hotel palace, built in 1912, is situated on a hill at the entrance of the town, offering a magnificent view of the valley.

Location & Surroundings

St. Joachimsthal is nestled on the southern slopes of the Ore Mountains, close to the German border. The healing successes of the spa are based on the noble gas radon. In the 16th century, Joachimsthal was one of the most significant cities in Europe due to its minting rights. The town's history is closely linked with the mining of silver, tin, and uranium. The last active mine in Joachimsthal, named Svornost, supplies the treatment areas with radon water.
The historic town centre of Joachimsthal is a protected zone featuring Renaissance-Gothic style buildings. In the tranquil spa district in the lower part of the town, you will find not only spa hotels, restaurants, and the Aquacentre Agricola with a mine sauna, but also a picturesque spa park with a music pavilion, a children's playground, and a small lake. The spa district is surrounded by a forest park with numerous hiking trails.

Dining & Leisure

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served buffet style. Options include diabetic, slimming, bland, and vegetarian dishes, available lactose-free and gluten-free upon pre-registration. Relax in the lobby or on the summer terrace, and enjoy your evening at the dance bar with live music.

Wellness & Spa

"Little Water World" (daily 90') features a movement pool (13 x 6 m, approx. 30°C). Additionally, a whirlpool, a Kneipp barefoot path, and a steam bath are available for relaxation. For those who prefer it a bit hotter, a dry sauna and an infrared sauna are available for a small fee of about 5€ (approx. UK £4 / USD $6) each. In the beauty area, a hair salon, cosmetic treatments, and Vacuwell applications await you, aiding in fat burning and combating cellulite.
The Aqua & Wellness Centre Agricola (open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., at a charge): indoor pool, children's pool, whirlpools, Kneipp path, salt grotto, solarium, and fitness. New sauna world - Agricola Mine Sauna: Finnish and bio sauna, infrared sauna, steam bath, ice pool, relaxation exercises with water and tea, herb garden, rooftop terrace with barefoot path. Entry for pool + sauna use approx. €8 (60'), approx. €9 (90'), approx. €11 (120'), discounts available for spa guests and seniors. Café.

With comprehensive medical services including a doctor, a laboratory, and 24-hour nursing care, your health needs are catered to around the clock. Immerse yourself in the healing world of pearl, carbon monoxide, and radon baths, or experience soothing lymphatic drainage, electrotherapy, laser therapy, magnet therapy, and inhalations. Occupational therapy, massages, and therapeutic exercise are also available to enhance your well-being. These treatments are particularly aimed at individuals with musculoskeletal disorders such as ankylosing spondylitis and rheumatism, peripheral nervous system diseases, metabolic diseases, as well as those suffering from burnout or seeking to activate self-healing powers in early-stage Parkinson's and multiple sclerosis. Free Time

The Ore Mountains are a paradise for hiking, cycling, and skiing. Thematic trails such as the Radon Theme Trail, the Hell of Joachimsthal, and the Gottesgaber Peat Bog Trail, among others. Excursions: Loket Castle, the Porcelain and Glass Museum in Karlovy Vary. Oberwiesenthal in the Ore Mountains is just 7 miles away. 18-hole Karlovy Vary Golf Club and Cihelny Golf Club (about 3.7 miles), Marianske Lazne Golf Club (about 25 miles).

A visit to the "underground treasures" of the region is worthwhile and can be perfectly combined with sports activities and wellness.
