The multi-award-winning holistic spa resort on the beautiful sandy beach combines Eastern healing traditions with modern science. Surrounded by spiritual tranquility, it offers individual programs for holistic health and inner balance.
The Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary & Holistic Spa is located on the "quiet side" in the south of Koh Samui at Laem Set Beach, about 30 minutes from Chaweng. Built around a natural rock cave that served as a meditation site for Buddhist monks for centuries, the resort exudes a special calm and spirituality. This unique atmosphere invites you to escape everyday life, recharge your batteries, and rediscover yourself. A stay at Kamalaya also offers the perfect opportunity for a beneficial digital detox. Kamalaya means 'Lotus (Kamal) Realm (alaya)' in ancient Sanskrit, symbolizing the unfolding of the human spirit.
At Kamalaya, ancient Eastern healing traditions merge with modern Western science to create an innovative wellness approach. Individually tailored programs support body, mind, and spirit on the journey to holistic health. A team of experienced naturopaths, Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors, yoga instructors, fitness trainers, massage therapists, meditation and life coaches, and other health experts ensures that each guest can achieve their personal wellness goals – for a life in balance and well-being.
Koh Samui, Thailand's second-largest island, is located in the Gulf of Thailand and is renowned for its tropical nature and diverse activities. Dense palm groves, gentle hills, and waterfalls characterise the landscape. Popular activities include diving, snorkelling, and hiking. The rainy season lasts from mid-October to mid-December. The area around Kamalaya is distinguished by gentle hills, tropical greenery, and a bay with a fine sandy beach – a perfect backdrop for relaxation and enjoyment of nature.
At Kamalaya, the cuisine is a true delight, nourishing both body and mind. The menus combine Eastern and Western culinary traditions, offering a wide selection of fresh, healthy dishes with sophisticated touches. Whether vegetarian, vegan, seafood, or poultry, or even alkaline detox dishes, there is a perfect meal for everyone. Guests participating in detox or ideal weight programs have specially tailored menus. All dishes are prepared with fresh organic ingredients, complemented by refreshing juices, signature tonics, and a variety of coffee and tea specialties. Indulge in a rich breakfast buffet, à la carte lunch and dinner, and light snacks at the Amrita Café and the Alchemy Tea Lounge – a true feast for the senses and health. Communication tables are available for personal exchanges. Lactose-free and gluten-free dishes are also available.
