The family-run Adults Only Hotel-Resort Waldachtal, nestled in the idyllic spa town of Waldachtal near Freudenstadt, is surrounded by forests, meadows, and the heights of the Northern Black Forest. The hotel seamlessly blends wellness, nature, regional cuisine, and modern rejuvenation-an ideal retreat for adults over 16 seeking to escape everyday life, relax, and rejuvenate.
The resort comprises the main building "Waldachtal" and the guest house "Himmelreich", located about 80 meters apart (no covered connection) and easily accessible on foot. The main building houses the reception, restaurant "Hannikel", fitness area, Finnish sauna, and the Longevity Lounge. The guest house "Himmelreich" features a spacious wellness and spa area.
Location & Surroundings
The hotel is peacefully located in the spa town of Waldachtal in the Northern Black Forest, approximately 15 kilometres from Freudenstadt. Numerous hiking and cycling trails start right at the hotel and lead through forests, meadows, and the diverse landscape of the region.
A unique experience is the nearby Wellness Forest Waldachtal with natural paths, meditation spots, and various interactive stations. Here, movement, nature, and mindful relaxation merge. A historic mill and traditional Black Forest villages invite exploration.

If you wish to book treatments on-site, due to high demand, we recommend booking them well in advance, ideally at the time of your reservation!
Please note that the hotel is not wheelchair accessible.
Please be aware that from 26 October to approximately 20 November 2026, the shower area in the sauna section of the guest house "Himmelreich" will be undergoing modernisation. This will include the addition of three new showers. During the construction, the indoor sauna and the current shower area will be temporarily closed. Alternatively, two barrel saunas and an outdoor shower are available in the pool area outside.
The pool area shower and the outdoor sauna can be used as usual. (As of 6 October 2026)
Dogs (all sizes) are permitted with prior notice, approx. 18,00 €/day, to be paid at the hotel.
