An authentic, family-run Ayurveda resort located directly on the beach, managed by a Japanese operator yet closely linked with its sister hotels Hiru Villa, Hiru Om, and Hiru Beach.
Sun, sea, wind, and palm trees all contribute to the unique allure of Induruwa Beach on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. Here, right on the beach, lies the stylish Hiru Mudra Tagiru Ayurveda Resort, managed by a Japanese operator yet seamlessly integrated into the esteemed family of Hiru sister hotels. The aim is to cater individually to each guest, thereby optimally enhancing their health. The resort boasts numerous lounges, sun decks, and a garden that borders directly on the beach. Works by local artists adorn the rooms, and from the rooftop terrace, your gaze sweeps across the sea.
The hotel focuses on individually tailored Ayurvedic dishes, served in the cosy, modern restaurant. At the start of your treatment, you will receive dietary recommendations from the Ayurvedic doctor, have the opportunity to attend lectures on Ayurvedic nutrition during the treatment, and receive detailed advice on a diet suitable for your type before departure.
Ayurveda has been practiced in Sri Lanka for thousands of years. The entire Ayurveda team at the resort benefits from this ancient knowledge, from the experienced, qualified Ayurvedic doctor to the trained therapists and the chef who ensures your healthy Ayurvedic meals. Based on the initial examination, individual Ayurvedic treatments are determined. Daily Ayurvedic treatments (at least 4) are conducted in a pleasant atmosphere at the resort's own Ayurveda Center or, for example, foot or facial massages, outdoors. The Ayurvedic medicine used consists solely of natural ingredients. Yoga platform and meditation room with sea view. Naturally, Ayurveda guests receive general Ayurveda tips for everyday life, which can be incorporated into their daily routine after the treatment.
Ayurveda aims to detoxify and heal the body through special cleansing, relaxation, and massage rituals, refresh the mind, and restore the Dosha balance ("Prakriti") responsible for health at birth. Ideal for stress, fatigue, exhaustion, lack of drive and appetite, sleep disorders, slimming, boosting the immune system, and regeneration. Also shows success in more specific conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis.
Relax in the garden or the saltwater pool, stroll along the beach, or enjoy a book from the library corner. Excursions to the sea turtle farm or to the port city of Galle, as well as temple visits, island and boat trips are popular activities outside the resort (for a fee). Places like Aluthgama or Lunuganga, the residence of the famous architect Geoffrey Bawa, are about 30 minutes away. Bicycle rental available.
The building spans three floors, allowing the total of 12 rooms (approx. 34 sqm) with their magnificent window fronts, balconies, and seating areas to offer breathtaking views over palms, beach, and sea. The rooms are spacious, furnished in an unconventionally modern style, and equipped with large, bright bathrooms—a comfort appreciated during an Ayurveda treatment. Additional amenities include a shower/WC, hairdryer, fan, air conditioning (for a fee), telephone, Wi-Fi, safe, tea set, and mosquito net. SGL are DB for single use.

Super beach. Swimming restricted due to high waves. Massages excellent. Rooms partly in need of renovation.
