Recreation in beautiful surroundings with deductions.
Spacious, clean, bright and friendly. The hotel has something of a gated community: security gate, large driveway, villas with gardens. Everything modern and stylish, rather cool than cozy. Even in the common rooms there is no nice atmosphere. Everything in a super condition.
Although the hotel was not yet full, the stress was already felt in the breakfast room. Loud families, almost all in jogging suits, hectic running around. Too bad, so you could not enjoy the stylish, great, pretty rooms well. Staff super nice and helpful.
Location of the hotel is very good, off the thoroughfare, close to the sea, there are even shuttles for the few meters down to the street/beach. There is also a bus stop right downstairs. You can get to Corfu town quickly by bus. The place Benitses is a small tourist place. You can walk on different paths down to the village, a walk through the forest is recommended; also other nice walks from the hotel possible. Otherwise not much to do on foot.
The rooms facing the sea have a great view over the pool, the bay, the sea and the Greek mainland including mountains, and Albania. The room walls are thick, you hear absolutely nothing from the neighbors. The rooms to the rear: bad view of a gloomy hill plus noise from air conditioners. Unfortunately, in the sea view room on the 2nd floor with the balcony door closed, you could hear the music playing late into the evening on the terrace below, which was completely nonsensical because no one was ever on that terrace in the evening. And at 7 o'clock in the morning the same: despite the closed door you can hear the music. After calling the reception it was turned off, but the next day the same.
The hotel has a big problem with music: cover versions of old hits from morning to night, you wake up with a song and fall asleep to the same song. The hotel does not need the constant sound system at all. Any complaint from us was received very nicely and they promised to discuss the issue. I think that every guest was annoyed.
Late March/early April pool and sea too cold for swimming. Indoor pool perfect.
The entire staff from reception to safety guard at the pool was very nice and helpful. At the same time reserved in a positive way.
Had a massage which was very good. All friendly and competent and interested.
Large breakfast buffet: various cakes and desserts, hot dishes, salads, vegetables, fish, porridge, cereals, cheese/sausage, jams, fresh fruit, gluten-free options, fresh orange juice, fresh tomato juice and much more. No tofu or the like. All nicely presented. After a few days, a little variation would have been nice.
Dinner/Dishes during the day: Our experience: dishes are small and expensive.
There are two floors of the so-called spa area. On the 1st floor is the gym, the yoga room and a Pilates room. And that's also where the massages take place. In the massage area it is quiet and stylish, the "Back Energy" massage was professional, customized and very helpful, the masseuse very pleasant and friendly and competent. The rest of the floor is thundering with techno/house music. In every corner. You can't understand a word the instructors/securities are saying. Especially in the yoga room, where you are welcome to lay out a mat and do your exercises, this kind of music at this volume is totally inappropriate.
On the lower spa floor, there is the pool and a small sauna area for women and men separately. There is a small sauna each, a hammam and a pool with warm water and jets (not strong enough for massage). In the pool area there is a sign "Recreation Area" - this is also the area where you rest after the sauna. There is also loud fast techno music blaring there. It's not the music blaring down from above, it's their own music. It is absolutely inappropriate and very exhausting and you can relax zero. The music is also very loud in the sauna. I called the front desk several times each day and had several conversations on the subject: They apologized and turned it down every now and then, but the problem remained. The whole hotel has a major problem with music: an automated blasting of inappropriate music in every room, indoors and out. It doesn't matter if there are people there or not. The pool, for example, is also used by locals, often older ladies, who swim their laps to house music turned up to full blast. I would therefore not call these two spa floors "spa", because there is no chance for relaxation. The sauna area is not bad, many showers, lockable cabinets, a bit small and restless .The pool itself is nice, the water very pleasant, the loungers comfortable.

Dear Mrs. K., thank you very much for your feedback. We are very pleased that you have spent a relaxing vacation on Corfu. Because of the disturbing music we will also contact the hotel again and thank you very much for this tip.
