We had a wonderful stay at the Amara Ayurveda Resort in India. We felt very comfortable and well looked after from the very beginning. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, the Ayurvedic treatments were excellent and contributed significantly to our relaxation. We were particularly impressed by the quiet and familiar atmosphere of the resort, where we could really switch off. Everything was very clean and lovingly designed. What occasionally caused minor irritation was the repeated references by other guests to the surrounding influences - such as overflights, the temple music or monkeys on the roofs. They were also very critical of the Ayurvedic food, as they knew it better and thought it wasn't taken seriously here. However, noise is part of the authentic atmosphere and hardly bothered us personally. We recommend guests who are sensitive to noise to find out about the local conditions and traditional festivals in advance. All in all, we had a wonderful time and can recommend the Amara Ayurveda Resort to anyone who is looking for true relaxation and authentic Ayurveda.
