Indications
Skin conditions
The climate therapy is successfully used for skin diseases, especially psoriasis or eczema. The positive effect is based on the interaction of pure air and fresh wind. When staying at the sea, the salt content of the seawater is also of great importance. Dead Sea climatotherapy is particularly effective and popular for treating these types of conditions.
Allergies
For allergies, stimulation therapy is recommended in different climatic zones, particularly in the high mountain climate, because from an altitude of 1500 meters, the occurrence of allergy-triggering substances strongly decreases. House dust mites and molds have no chance in these altitudes. Also the sea climate is suitable for allergy sufferers, since the rough sea wind keeps the air clear of pollen.
Heart-and-circulatory diseases
With heart-and-circulatory diseases a stay in the middle mountain climate is generally recommended. The lower mountain climate is mild and gentle. The high air quality and the harmonious environment contribute considerably to the success of the treatment. Of course, a stay in the low mountain range can also be used for prevention and precaution, as well as for general recovery and convalescence.
Contraindications & Side Effects
With climate therapy, hardly any side effects or contraindications are known during treatment. Initial worsening also does not usually occur with this stimulation therapy. Caution is only required with existing skin problems, in which case the beneficial sun exposure should only be enjoyed for a limited period of time.
Even in the high mountains and at the water the sun should not be underestimated. But even this is not a contraindication.
